Because life can get so busy - we get swept up and before we know it, another year has flown by. But since having kids myself, I’ve realised the importance of documenting these days with photographs, to freeze life as it is today, because those daily routines quickly become memories. Little sayings and mannerisms, inside jokes, books that we can all recite-gradually, each routine gets dropped and replaced by something else- a new book, a different song- and it’s only a few months later that I realise that what used to be an ordinary day is now a fond memory.
Documenting your family life is one of the best gifts that you can give to your children in the future (and to yourself!), and that's where me and my camera come in. A family photoshoot with me preserves those precious memories so that in years to come, you'll have beautiful photos to remind you of how your family used to look.
Also, if you’re anything like me, you’re rarely in the photos yourself! Always behind the camera, or carrying bags, or pushing the buggy (or all of the above). Booking a professional family photographer gives you time to put the bags down, relax, and spend time together. When your kids are older, they'll want to see what their parents looked like in the newborn and toddler years, they'll want to pour over photos of you cradling them, feeding them, tickling them. So get in the frame with them, and I'll photograph timeless memories that will stay in your family for years.
My family photography sessions are natural, relaxed, and led by the children. I capture personalities, connections, and fun moments. I take a lifestyle photography approach to my photoshoots, meaning there are no stiff poses and I won't ask you to 'say cheese' and stare into the camera. I encourage cuddles and laughter, running and jumping – quality family time, whatever that looks like for you.
