Wirral Outdoor Family Photoshoot

Parents and children in a park
Wirral outdoor family photoshoot

This lovely family booked me for an outdoor photoshoot in August, but we ended up re-scheduling twice because of the non-stop rain we've had this summer. We finally got a nice day at the start of September, and spent a brilliant morning together at Port Sunlight Village on The Wirral. It was the perfect backdrop for their family session, as they got married in the church there, and had their wedding photos in the same park, so having their shoot there was really special.

Photoshoot location

A brief history lesson - Port Sunlight Village on The Wirral is a 19th-century village that was built by Lord Lever to house his soap factory workers. Today, it's residents live in the gorgeous, half-timbered houses along tree-lined streets (I had MAJOR house envy!), and there are woodlands, a rose garden, a museum, and the Lady Lever art gallery to explore.

I love discovering new places when families ask for their photoshoot in a setting that's special to them. I'll definitely be coming back to this spot to explore it more with my own family!

We started their family photoshoot with a walk through The Dell woods, and played hide and seek under the Dell Bridge. The children explored, found sticks and beetles, and happily settled into the session.
